Football Recap: Glastonbury Wins High-Profile Game Against Southington

Glastonbury faced Southington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Guardians snuck past the Blue Knights with a 41-35 win. The Guardians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Knights, too.

Glastonbury got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dante Casdia out in front who rushed for 151 yards and three TDs. Connor Finnerty was another major influence, as he rushed for 25 yards and ran in a TD.

When it comes to explaining why Southington lost, don't look at Luke Prozzo. Despite the final result, he threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground. Rosco Cook was in the mix too, providing the Blue Knights with two TDs.
