Triangle Math & Science skates past Ascend Leadership with ease

Make it nine blowout wins for the Triangle Math & Science Tigers this season. They really took it to Ascend Leadership for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-18 win at home. The win was familiar territory for Triangle Math & Science who now have five in a row.

Triangle Math & Science had a senior duo take command as Leanna Nohs scored 33 points along with five steals and Samrita Sriram scored 20 points along with three steals and two blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Nohs has scored at least a third of Triangle Math & Science's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yashitha Vanamala, who scored five points along with eight assists and four steals.

Triangle Math & Science's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Ascend Leadership, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Triangle Math & Science will head out on the road to face off against Clover Garden School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Clover Garden School is ranked 310th, while Triangle Math & Science is ranked 293rd). As for Ascend Leadership, they will be playing at home against Chatham Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chatham Charter is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.
