Baseball Recap: Central Catholic Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central Catholic can now relate to. They came up short against the Maumee Panthers on Thursday, falling 7-1.

Dre Wardrop was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Central Catholic's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 4-2 (and 3-16 when he doesn't).

Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Maumee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-8.
