Joshua is 9-1 against Cleburne since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Joshua Owls will head out to square off against the Cleburne Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Joshua saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of Robinson by a score of 4-3.

Taylor Proffitt was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Isabella Lambert also deserves some recognition as she stole her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Cleburne came up short against McCallum on Saturday and fell 6-1. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cleburne saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kadenze Quzma, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Even though they lost, Cleburne hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive matchups.

Joshua's record now sits at 5-7. As for Cleburne, their record is now 4-9-2.

Everything went Joshua's way against Cleburne when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Joshua made off with a 9-0 win. Does Joshua have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cleburne turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
