Edinburg North typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Pharr-San Juan-Alamo proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Cougars 3-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Bears, who have now won three contests in a row.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-16.

Despite the defeat, Edinburg North saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zoe Castillo had 11 assists and eight digs.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's win bumped their record up to 23-9. As for Edinburg North, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will square off against rival La Joya at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Edinburg North is set to challenge their familiar foe Edinburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
