Miles Lawrence posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. He struck out five batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Deering is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-4 otherwise.
