Basketball Game Recap: West Memphis Christian Black Knights vs. DeSoto Thunderbirds

The West Memphis Christian Black Knights lost against the DeSoto Thunderbirds back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. West Memphis Christian was the victim of a tough 55-33 defeat at the hands of the Thunderbirds. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Memphis Christian has scored all season.

Anslee Barnes continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for DeSoto, scoring 29 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Carsyn Gore, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five steals.

West Memphis Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for DeSoto, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-4.

West Memphis Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. DeSoto won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Blue Devils at 1:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Tunica Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
