Mount Notre Dame started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Bishop Watterson entered their tilt with St. Francis DeSales on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Stallions 3-0.

The win didn't come easy: St. Francis DeSales scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-21.

Bishop Watterson now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Mount Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Mount Notre Dame skirted past Bishop Watterson 3-2 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Bishop Watterson's Emma Cloran, who had 14 digs, five kills, and four aces.
