Football Game Preview: Richards Warriors vs. Agricultural Science Cyclones

The Richards Warriors will square off against the Agricultural Science Cyclones at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Richards sitting on five straight victories and Agricultural Science on seven.

On Friday, Richards beat Dunbar 14-6. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly eight points.

The critical scores for Richards came from Kemauri Herred and Rashaud Lyons.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Richards' defense and their eight sacks. It was truly a group effort as Juelz Baker, Jacquel Hines, Jeremiah Lee, and Haneef Ingram picked up two apiece. Lee also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine. Herred got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Agricultural Science got themselves on the board against Hubbard on Friday, but Hubbard never followed suit. They blew past the Greyhounds 26-0. Considering the Cyclones have won six contests by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Richards' win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Agricultural Science, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 7-1.

Richards was dealt a bruising 27-0 loss at the hands of Agricultural Science in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
