Volleyball Recap: Morgan Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Morgan came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Valley Regional Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-18, 25-15.

Karla Duque paced Morgan's offense, picking up five kills. Duque got some help from Avery Vece and her nine assists. Finally, Ella Beermuender kept Morgan's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Morgan's defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8. As for Valley Regional, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Morgan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against North Branford on the 15th. As for Valley Regional, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Old Lyme on the 15th.
