Softball Recap: Manzano Comes Up Short

After soaring to 21 runs the game before, Manzano was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They came up short against the Rio Rancho Rams, falling 16-1. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sophia Rios Duvall was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Shania Aragon was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Manzano's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Rio Rancho, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.

Manzano has already played their next contest, a 19-3 loss against West Mesa on the 20th. As for Rio Rancho, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 20-10 victory against Volcano Vista on the 20th.
