Basketball Game Preview: Deep Run Wildcats vs. Patrick Henry Patriots

The Deep Run Wildcats will face off against the Patrick Henry Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Deep Run lost to Thomas Dale on the road by a 81-63 margin. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Knights are ranked 86th).

Meanwhile, Patrick Henry was beaten by Henrico 76-34 on Tuesday. The Patriots have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Patrick Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Deep Run, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.

Everything came up roses for Deep Run against Patrick Henry in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as the team secured a 51-21 victory. Does Deep Run have another victory up their sleeve, or will Patrick Henry turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
