Soccer Recap: St. Paul's Wins High-Profile Game Against Jackson Prep

St. Paul is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Jackson Prep. The St. Paul's Wolves had just enough and edged the Jackson Prep Patriots out 2-1.

Liam Murphy and Nico Gristina scored both of St. Paul's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

St. Paul's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-2. As for Jackson Prep, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Paul's will finish 2024 at home by hosting Alexandria at 1:00 p.m. on December 30th. St. Paul's is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season. As for Jackson Prep, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Joseph Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
