Softball Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

Westview lost against Lakeland back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors fell just short of the Lakers by a score of 4-3. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ava Gilbert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run. Another player making a difference was Karlie Schrock, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Westview now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lakeland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Westview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 22-3 victory against Fort Wayne North Side on the 18th. As for Lakeland, they will be playing at home against Churubusco at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
