Baseball Game Preview: Clearfield Falcons vs. Box Elder Bees

For the second straight game, Clearfield will face off against Box Elder. The Falcons will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Bees at 3:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Clearfield's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Box Elder has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Clearfield's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Box Elder on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Falcons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Box Elder's part, the result came thanks to Judd Howells's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Greyson Burt was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Clearfield's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Box Elder, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-16.
