Football Game Preview: Waterville vs. John Bapst Memorial

Waterville will look to defend their home turf on Saturday against John Bapst Memorial at 1:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.

If Waterville were riding high off their 49-26 takedown of Messalonskee two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Waterville suffered a grim 21-48 defeat to Hermon last Saturday.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 8-52, which was the final score in John Bapst Memorial's tilt against Mount Desert Island. The state rankings had actually given John Bapst Memorial a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
