Soccer Recap: Cypress Lake Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cypress Lake can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls on Friday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cowboys/Cowgirls earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Cypress Lake's goal came courtesy of Ava Gadus, who's now up to seven this season.

Cypress Lake has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11-1 record this season. As for LaBelle, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Cypress Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for LaBelle, they will square off against Lemon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. LaBelle is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.
