Volleyball Recap: Granite Hills Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Granite Hills challenged Scripps Ranch on Saturday. The Granite Hills Eagles fell 2-0 to the Scripps Ranch Falcons. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Falcons when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Granite Hills lost, don't look at Tristan McDaniel. Despite the final result, he had 24 assists and eight digs. That's the most digs McDaniel has posted since back in May of 2024.

Granite Hills' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Scripps Ranch, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Looking ahead, Granite Hills will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Poway at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Scripps Ranch, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Canyon Crest Academy on the 8th.
