Pyramid Lake was the 12-10 winner over Mineral County when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Lakers fell just short of the Serpents by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. The Lakers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

William Darrough was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played.

Pyramid Lake's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Mineral County, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pyramid Lake will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Virginia City at 3:00 p.m. on the 15th. The Lakers are facing the Muckers at the right time seeing as the Muckers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Mineral County, they will head out on the road to face off against Wooster at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
