Basketball Recap: Varnado Takes a Loss

Varnado lost against St. Martin's Episcopal back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Varnado Wildcats came up short against the St. Martin's Episcopal Saints, falling 74-53. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Varnado's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for St. Martin's Episcopal, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Varnado Wildcats challenge the GEO Next Generation Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. GEO Next Generation's defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so Varnado's offense will have their work cut out for them. St. Martin's Episcopal has already played their next matchup (against Ascension Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
