Basketball Game Preview: Pearland Oilers vs. South Houston Trojans

Pearland is a perfect 5-0 against South Houston since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Oilers will be playing at home against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. This will be Pearland's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Pearland saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a hard 46-29 fall against Cypress Creek. The matchup marked the Oilers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Pearland's loss came about despite a quality game from Leigha Bolar, who posted six points and 12 boards. Bolar is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games she's played.

Meanwhile, South Houston suffered their biggest defeat since January 7th on Tuesday. They came up short against Shadow Creek, falling 60-35. The Trojans have struggled against the Sharks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Pearland's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for South Houston, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Pearland against South Houston in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 67-37 win. Will the Oilers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
