            Softball Recap: St. Croix Central Panthers vs. River Falls Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            St. Croix Central had lost four straight at home, but  on Saturday they dropped their record down to 3-10 to make it five. They fell just short of the River Falls Wildcats by a score of  2-1. The Panthers were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting  back in May of 2024.
As for River Falls, their victory  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 8-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win they have posted  since April 10th.
For River Falls' part,  AUDRA ADERMANN spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for  ADERMANN.
 On the hitting side, River Falls saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  ALEXIS RALSTON, who  went 1-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double. That's the most  RBI  RALSTON has posted since back in April of 2024.
 Looking ahead, St. Croix Central will head out to  square off against Osceola  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for River Falls, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prescott  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
