Victory Christian Center had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Monroe Redhawks by a score of 3-1 on Monday. This was payback for the Kings, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Victory Christian Center had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-20, 25-17, 25-19.

Monroe's defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.
