Volleyball Recap: Elmwood Park Comes Up Short

Elmwood Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fenton Bison. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bison from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Taras Galko paced Elmwood Park's offense, picking up three kills. Galko got some help from Jermayne Ruiz and his six assists. Finally, Jesus Colmenares kept Elmwood Park's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Elmwood Park's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Fenton, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-9.

Elmwood Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Montini Catholic on the 19th. As for Fenton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Wheaton Academy on the 19th.
