Preview: McBee Panthers vs. Calhoun Falls Charter Blue Flashes
The McBee Panthers will play host again and welcome the Calhoun Falls Charter Blue Flashes, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (McBee is ranked 180th, while Calhoun Falls Charter is ranked 195th).
Last Friday, McBee blew past Governor's School for Science & Math, posting a 84-26 win at home.
McBee relied on the efforts of Jakari Holloman, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Tyrek Wright, who scored 22 points along with four steals. Wright is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Jasson Brockington was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Calhoun Falls Charter came up short against McCormick on Monday and fell 55-43.
McBee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Calhoun Falls Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
McBee came up short against Calhoun Falls Charter in their previous meeting back in February of 2017, falling 62-53. Thankfully for McBee, Javarzia Belton (who dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 14 rebounds, and ten blocks) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
