Basketball Recap: SouthLake Christian Academy Takes a Loss

SouthLake Christian Academy lost against Gaston Day back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles fell just short of the Gaston Day Spartans by a score of 46-44.

Despite the loss, SouthLake Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Dillon Mason, who posted 17 points. Mason's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Stone Myers, who had ten points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gaston Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braylen Todd, who scored 11 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dyson Britt, who put up 13 points.

SouthLake Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Gaston Day, their win bumped their record up to 18-9.

SouthLake Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-49 defeat against Gaston Christian on the 7th. As for Gaston Day, they have also already played their next match, an 80-38 loss against Concord Academy on the 6th.
