Football Recap: Clairemont Find Success

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Clairemont ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 20-19 victory over the University City Centurions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chieftains have posted since October 3, 2024.

Clairemont got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Abby Mora out in front who threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns while completing 86.2% of her passes. What's more, Mora racked up 118.9 passer rating, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Clairemont has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for University City, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
