Holly Hill Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost to the Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats at home by a 78-61 margin. Even though they lost, the Raiders' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.6 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

When it comes to explaining why Holly Hill Academy lost, don't look at Jody Gillam. Despite the final result, he went 19 of 33 on his way to 45 points and five boards. That was a full 73.8% of Holly Hill Academy's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Soles, who had four points and eight rebounds.

Jadon Cox went supernova for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, going 11 of 20 on his way to 26 points and seven steals. With that strong performance, Cox is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game. Zach White was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 2-5. As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holly Hill Academy will take on Clarendon Hall at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, they will welcome Step of Faith Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61 points per game this season.
