Football Game Preview: Chrisman Bears vs. Belton Pirates

The Chrisman Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Belton Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chrisman has given up an average of 38.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Chrisman blew Truman out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Truman got their revenge. The Bears fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 34-31. On the bright side, the 31- point performance marked the Bears' highest-scoring contest to date.

Meanwhile, Belton had to suffer through a 69-14 loss at the hands of Platte County. While losing is never fun, Belton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Platte County is ranked 12th).

Chrisman's loss dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Belton, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Chrisman came up short against Belton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 27-20. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
