Preview: Westampton Tech Panthers vs. Pemberton Hornets
Westampton Tech has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Pemberton Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Westampton Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, Westampton Tech came up short against Willingboro and fell 50-43.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Shakur Anderson, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pemberton lost to Trenton Catholic Academy on the road by a decisive 71-54 margin on Monday. While losing is never fun, Pemberton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Trenton Catholic Academy is ranked 76th).
Westampton Tech's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Pemberton, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Westampton Tech came up short against Pemberton in their previous matchup on January 5th, falling 46-41. Can Westampton Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
