Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jorgie Gomez and Quinn Pegg Lead Ransom Everglades to Victory

There's no place like home for Ransom Everglades, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 43-30 victory over the Palm Glades Prep Academy Eagles on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Leading Ransom Everglades to victory were Quinn Pegg and Jorgie Gomez. Pegg posted 19 points and six rebounds, while Gomez went 7 of 13 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Gomez has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Mccarron, who had two points and five rebounds.

Ransom Everglades' victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Palm Glades Prep Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Ransom Everglades didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-38 win against Pinecrest Glades Academy on the 8th. As for Palm Glades Prep Academy, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Palm Glades Prep Academy Eagles duke it out with the Redland Christian Academy FALCONS at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Palm Glades Prep Academy is facing Redland Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Redland Christian Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
