Oskaloosa came tearing into Monday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Pleasant Ridge Rams with a sharp 11-2 victory. Considering the Bears have won eight contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lily Pullen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over 5.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Parris Marsh, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Keirstyn Mitchell was another key player, earning two runs and two stolen bases.

Oskaloosa's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pleasant Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Oskaloosa beat the Rams by a score of 14-4 later that day.
