Volleyball Recap: Sam Houston Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Arlene Bonilla and Mayrin Aguilar + How To Watch

Sam Houston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Haltom Buffalos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buffalos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

Sam Houston started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-19.

Mayrin Aguilar and Arlene Bonilla certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Aguilar had five digs and four aces, while Bonilla had eight assists and three digs.

Sam Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 5-27-1. As for Haltom, the victory snapped their losing streak at six matches and leaves them with a 12-20 record.

As of now, neither Sam Houston nor the Buffalos have any future games scheduled.
