Soccer Game Preview: Tivy vs. Taft

The Tivy Antlers will be taking part in a tournament against the Taft Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Tivy's tournament run continued when they took on Uvalde on Friday. Tivy blew past Uvalde 5-1. With the Antlers ahead 4-1 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Taft won against Gregory-Portland on Thursday with five goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Friday. Taft walked away with a 5-3 victory over Bandera. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

They hit Bandera with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sean Kallauner (2), Christopher Gonzalez, Haniel Awah, and Adrian Gonzales.

Tivy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Taft, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.
