Basketball Recap: New Berlin Takes a Loss

New Berlin was the 51-41 winner over Illini Central when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The New Berlin Pretzels took a 58-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Illini Central Cougars. The Pretzels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Berlin now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Illini Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

When New Berlin and Illini Central next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. New Berlin will take on PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central and their six-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Illini Central will try to stop Delavan's four-game winning streak when the meet at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
