Soccer Game Preview: Port Angeles vs. Sequim

Port Angeles hasn't had much luck against Sequim recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Roughriders will head out on the road to challenge Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Port Angeles came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against North Kitsap, falling 10-1.

Meanwhile, Sequim fought the good fight in their overtime game against Olympic on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 1-0. Sequim just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Sequim's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Port Angeles, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Port Angeles beat Sequim by a goal when the teams last played back in April, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Roughriders since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
