Volleyball Recap: Don Bosco Cristo Rey Takes a Loss

Don Bosco Cristo Rey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to National Cathedral.

National Cathedral found their leader in sophomore Daphne Evans, who had five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Evans. Claire Kennedy also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Don Bosco Cristo Rey's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for National Cathedral, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1-1.

Coming up, Don Bosco Cristo Rey will face off against DC International at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for National Cathedral, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Chapelgate Christian Academy on the 20th.
