Baseball Recap: Granite Hills Has No Trouble Against Strathmore

After low-scoring totals in their previous three game, Granite Hills brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Everything went their way against the Strathmore Spartans on Monday as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The game was the first time the Grizzlies have beaten the Spartans on their field since April 26, 2021.

Granite Hills got a big performance out of Reginaldo Ramos, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits Ramos has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Barazza, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Granite Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Strathmore only posted an OBP of .238.

Granite Hills' win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 8-17. As for Strathmore, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Granite Hills nor Strathmore have any future games scheduled.
