Football Recap: Manistee Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Manistee was the 41-0 winner over Orchard View when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mariners took a 26-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals on Friday. The Mariners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dayvion Neal-Berry threw for 223 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes. Braylen Zimmerman was his top target, picking up 116 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Manistee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Orchard View, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Manistee will challenge Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mariners surely won't give up without a fight. As for Orchard View, they will square off against Muskegon Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Crusaders have played have been within three points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
