Football Game Preview: Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes vs. Catasauqua Rough Riders

The Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes will be playing at home against the Catasauqua Rough Riders at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Schuylkill Haven will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Schuylkill Haven was fully in charge, breezing past Tri-Valley 55-20. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.

Colton Reber continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 307 yards and three scores while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 140 rushing yards. Logan Goad was another key rusher, rushing for 69 yards and one TD.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Schuylkill Haven proved: they limited Tri-Valley to a paltry 1.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Chase Williams for the heroic effort on defense: he. Schuylkill Haven didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.8.

Schuylkill Haven's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. In that department, Niko Castillo was the leader with two. Reber got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Catasauqua hadn't done well against Palmerton recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Rough Riders enjoyed a cozy 26-7 victory over the Blue Bombers.
