Basketball Recap: Southeast Takes a Loss

Southeast was the 39-38 winner over Parrish Community when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Southeast Seminoles took a 58-42 bruising from the Parrish Community Bulls on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Southeast still got an impressive performance from Jamarri Bivens, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points. Keith Potter was another key player, putting up three points and nine rebounds.

Even though they lost, Southeast smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matchups.

Southeast has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Parrish Community, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.

Southeast has already played their next contest, a 78-68 loss against Sarasota on the 24th. As for Parrish Community, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-34 defeat against Palmetto on the 23rd.
