Baseball Recap: Scio Loggers vs. Taft Tigers

After flying high against Sheridan on Friday, Scio came back down to earth. The Scio Loggers took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Taft Tigers on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for Scio in their matchups with Taft: they've now lost five in a row.

Scio saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Davis, who went 1-for-3 with a double.

On Taft's side, Armando Fajardo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered one run (which was unearned) on six hits.
