Temple Baptist Academy extends home losing streak to five

This season hasn't been kind to the Temple Baptist Academy Royal Crusaders, who are still winless after their fourth game. They were beaten by Mount Pisgah Christian Academy 73-34 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Temple Baptist Academy has suffered against Mount Pisgah Christian Academy since January 19, 2021.

Mount Pisgah Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaylynn Walls out in front who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jesalyn Howard, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Temple Baptist Academy dropped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mount Pisgah Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temple Baptist Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Victory Baptist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on February 9th. As for Mount Pisgah Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Berean Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Berean Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 394th, while Mount Pisgah Christian Academy is ranked 184th).
