Baseball Recap: Moss Point Takes a Loss

Moss Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to Bay. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Bay this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 last Tuesday.

Moss Point saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonovan Thompson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Thompson has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

Moss Point's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Bay, their victory ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-23.

While Moss Point had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
