Softball Game Preview: Satellite Scorpions vs. Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars

The Satellite Scorpions will face off against the Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Satellite and five for Pembroke Pines Charter.

Satellite's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Wednesday's struggle, when Viera hitters got past them. Satellite came up short against Viera on Wednesday, falling 15-3.

Meanwhile, Pembroke Pines Charter suffered their closest loss since May 2, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Archbishop McCarthy by a score of 9-7.

Ariana Bonilla made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Rodriguez, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Pembroke Pines Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Satellite, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
