Wasco had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Taft Wildcats with a sharp  10-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight contests by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Cedes Saldana made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Sienna Lugo was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI.  Karime Raya also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
Wasco's record is now 9-7-1. As for Taft,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-6.
 Wasco will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tehachapi at 4:00  p.m.  on  the 23rd. As for Taft, they will be taking part in a tournament against Templeton  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
