Baseball Recap: Mosinee Triumphs

Mosinee won the last time they faced Edgar and things went their way on Monday too. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since June 4, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Elliot Yirkovsky, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Tyler Baars was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Mosinee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Mosinee's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Edgar, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 14-5 record.

Looking ahead, Mosinee will head out to take on Lakeland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edgar, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Spencer at 4:45 p.m.
