Recap: Crooked Oak vs. Washington
Washington entered their game on Thursday as the heavy favorite, and they fully lived up to expectations. They were fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Crooked Oak 46-6. Followers of Washington probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected six blowout victories.
Washington started the matchup off right with 32 first-half points. Meanwhile, Crooked Oak couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 32-0 heading into the break. Washington put the match away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense.
The win makes it two in a row for Washington and bumps their record up to 6-2. Crooked Oak's loss makes it five in a row and drags their record down to 1-7.
The teams are both focusing on improving their conference standings in their upcoming contests. Next week Washington will take on Community Christian at 7:00 PM. Unlike Washington, Community Christian will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Crooked Oak, they will face off against Lexington.
