Volleyball Recap: Copper Hills Grizzlies vs. Weber Warriors

Copper Hills kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 3-1 to the Weber Warriors. If the Grizzlies were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Warriors when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-14, 19-25, 25-22, 25-14.

Katarina Kovacevic paced Copper Hills' offense, picking up ten kills. Kovacevic got some help from Paige Jensen and her 20 assists. Finally, Phoebe Jensen kept Copper Hills' defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Weber can attribute much of their success to Tesyn Stewart, who had ten digs and five aces. That's the most aces Stewart has posted since back in October of 2024.

Copper Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Davis on the 7th. As for Weber, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Morgan on the 7th.
