Alchesay extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 1-3. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chinle Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly three points.

Alchesay's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyssa Jim, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. Jim has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kylie Mansfield, who posted 13 points.
As for Chinle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chinle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caitlyn Ashley, who shot 55% from the field en route to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Ashley a new career-high. Elayah Pete also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.
Coming up, Alchesay will square off against Miami at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chinle, they will take on Holbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
